ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP AND POLITICS FOR UNITY
WITH OUR 2020-21 PATHWAY CAMPAIGN, THE UNITED WORLD PROJECT PROPOSES PLACING
THE PARADIGM OR MODEL OF “CARING” AT THE HEART OF POLITICS AND OUR LIFE AS CITIZENS.
OBJECTIVE

#daretocare is the slogan and hashtag of our campaign to promote engagement, commitment, active involvement, appreciation… of what? The most vulnerable, the planet, our institutions, our cities, our neighbourhoods, the problems of society around us.

The Coronavirus pandemic has demonstrated how much the world we live in is in crisis, affecting health, economy, the climate, food and society in general. A change of pace, perspective and action is called for. A world which knows how to take care of itself, a world in which caring is placed at the heart of political discourse will be a better, more united world.

THEMETHOD

#daretocare, like the other Pathway campaigns, has three steps:
LEARN, ACT, SHARE.

1. LEARN

We want to study, educate and be educated, to be able to introduce fresh ideas into politics and lay solid foundations for our actions as citizens.
+

For this purpose, every two months there will be a new #daretocare “lesson” covering five areas:

  1. Listening, Dialogue and Communication;
  2. Equality and Equity;
  3. Fraternity and the Common Good;
  4. Participation and Co-Governance;
  5. The Planet.

2. ACT

We want to involve everyone, people of any age, creed and social background, identifying the needs in an area and proposing practical “caring” initiatives.
+

Every two months there’ll be a “#daretocare in my city” event, a virtual meeting in each continent, to showcase initiatives of “caring” in action in different local communities.

3. SHARE

Share what we do on our social media with the hashtag #daretocare and also...
+

You can download everything you need for the communication campaign of your events by clicking here: graphic tools.

And then, tells us how it was:

  1. To: mediaoffice@unitedworldproject.org
  2. Or by contacting the #daretocare team, to this e-mail: pathways@unitedworldproject.org
