14 and 15. Announcement by President Mansour.

The referendum on the new Egyptian Constitution will be held on 14 and 15 January. It was announced by the interim president of Egypt Adly Mansour at a press conference .

“It ‘s not perfect constitution but a national historic achievement,” said Mansour at the top front of the Egyptian state, including the military chief Abdel Fattah el Sissi . “Egypt can’t’ tolerate the fragmentation and its future is in the unity. His destiny is not a choice,” added the president ad interim.

The constitution approved by the Committee of fifty chosen by the president after the deposition of former President Mohamed Morsi hands of the military, is a step forward “in terms of freedom’, human rights and balance of powers” and “the starting point to build the institutions of a modern democratic state.” (…)
