“Acknowledgement of reform efforts, encouragement for new ones”

Brussels – The European Union’s 28 members accepted Albania as a new candidate for membership.

Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule said in a Twitter post that the decision was taken by the 28 members’ foreign ministers. Fule said the move was ”an acknowledgement of reform efforts” by Albania and an encouragement for new ones.
