Global Compact on Education
On 15 October 2020, Pope Francis sounded a strong, renewed alarm about the widening global education gap. Only an alliance between all the components of society can bring about a change in humanity’s course towards peace and fraternity: this is why the Global Compact on Education – a worldwide education pact – was created.
This report, aired on the 13th of December during the CH Link-Up, gives us a full and clear view of this world pact, in which Mgr. Vincenzo Zani (Italy) -Secretary of the Congregation for Catholic Education-, Maria Nieves Tapia (Argentina) -Director of the Latin American Centre for Solidarity Service Learning-, Szilvia Berényi (Hungary) – consultant-, José Levy (Spain) – CNN International Correspondent – and José María del Corral (Argentina) -Director of Scholas Occurrentes-, set out the objectives and the current situation and offer some examples of how to implement this educational alliance.
