On Sunday 3 May, the Sophia University Institute and the Movement of politics and policy for unity participated in the United World Week with a special webinar, entitled “Europe and its neighbors: the time of proximity” which posed the question how, in the face of the pandemic, we can rethink the European design towards the South and East with “the Old Continent”.

The webinar, moderated by Mario Bruno, President of the International Movement for Unity in Politics, saw the participation of:
– Pasquale Ferrara, Italian Ambassador to Algeria, and Professor of International Relations and Diplomacy at Sophia Global Studies;
– Reka Szemerkényi;  economist and Executive VP of the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), in Washington DC;
– Miguel Aguado, lawyer and co-ordinator of MPPU Europe.
